FAQ

Your Questions, Answered.

Getting started is easy! Simply sign up using your email or Google account, then head to your dashboard and click “New Project.” You can choose a blank canvas or start from a template. Once your canvas opens, you can begin adding images, text, or AI-generated designs right away.

Not at all. OneKlik DTF is designed for beginners and hobbyists. You can use ready-made templates, drag-and-drop tools, and even generate artwork with AI. If you can describe what you want, you can create it!

You can upload common image formats like PNG and JPG. When exporting your final design, you can choose from PNG, PDF, or TIFF.

Credits are used for certain features like AI image generation, exporting designs, and creating mockups. Each action will show how many credits it costs before you confirm.

You have two easy ways to purchase credits:

Option 1: From Your Account Page

  1. Click your profile icon (circle with your initials) in the top-right corner

  2. Select “View Account”

  3. You’ll see your current credit balance

  4. Click “Buy More Credits”

  5. Choose the credit package you want and proceed to checkout

Option 2: From Inside the Design Interface

  1. While working on a project, look for the credit balance indicator (diamond icon) in the top-right corner

  2. Click the icon to open the Purchase Credits window

  3. Select your desired credit package

  4. Click “Continue to Checkout”

Automatic Prompt When You’re Out of Credits
If you try to perform an action that requires more credits than you currently have (like exporting or AI generation), the purchase window will automatically appear—so you can quickly add more without leaving your workflow.

When creating a new project, OneKlik DTF gives you two easy ways to start: preconfigured product layouts, or a custom layout.

If you’re designing for a t-shirt, hoodie, or mug, the simplest option is to choose a Product Layout. These are already set up with the correct size, DPI, and orientation for that product, so you don’t have to worry about technical settings.

If you prefer more control, you can select a Custom layout and define your own:

  • Width and height

  • Units (inches, centimeters, pixels, etc.)

  • DPI (recommended: 300 for print)

  • Orientation (portrait or landscape)

Once your canvas is created, you can:

  • Add images (upload or from your library)

  • Insert text and customize fonts, spacing, and styling

  • Create shapes and use them as masks

  • Arrange elements using layers (move forward/back, group, lock, etc.)

Be sure to save your project as you go (File → Save Project), so you can return and edit it anytime.

Yes! OneKlik DTF makes it easy to upload and manage your own creative assets through the Asset Library.

To upload files:

  • Go to your dashboard and click “Upload Files”, or

  • Open Manage Online Content from the File menu inside a project

  • Drag and drop files or use the file browser to upload

Once uploaded, your assets are automatically organized into categories like:

  • Images

  • Fonts

  • Projects

  • AI Generated

  • Favorites (you can “heart” items to save them here)

You can also create custom folders to organize your designs however you like.

When working in your design:

  • Use Insert Image or the Asset Library panel to place images onto your canvas

  • Access uploaded fonts in the Font section when editing text

  • Reuse assets across multiple projects without re-uploading

This makes it easy to build a consistent style, especially if you’re creating multiple designs or working on a collection.

The AI Image Generation feature allows you to create custom artwork instantly by describing what you want in a prompt.

To use it:

  • Click the AI Generation icon in the left toolbar

  • Enter a description of your design (subject, style, colors, etc.)

  • Choose your settings:

    • Model (Pro typically gives higher quality results)

    • Resolution (higher = more detail)

    • Count (generate multiple variations at once)

  • Click Generate, then confirm the credit cost

The AI will produce one or more images based on your prompt, which are automatically saved to your AI Generated library for easy reuse.

You can use AI generation when:

  • You don’t have artwork ready

  • You want to quickly test design ideas

  • You need unique, custom graphics for prints

  • You want to enhance or modify an existing concept

You can also refine your results by:

  • Trying different prompts

  • Adjusting resolution or model

  • Using Edit with AI to tweak existing images

Since each generation uses credits, it’s a good idea to experiment with prompts to get the best results efficiently.

Better prompts = better results. Here are a few tips:

  • Be specific about your subject (e.g., “vintage skull with roses” vs “skull”)

  • Include style details (e.g., “cartoon,” “realistic,” “grunge,” “vector”)

  • Mention colors and mood (e.g., “bright neon colors,” “dark gothic theme”)

  • Add composition hints (e.g., “centered,” “bold outlines”)

Example:
“Vintage-style tiger head, bold outlines, limited colors, screen print style, centered”

Experimenting with prompts is key—the more detailed you are, the better your results will be.

Color Knockout is a powerful DTF feature that removes specific colors from your design so the garment color shows through instead of being printed.

To use it:

  • Open the DTF Properties panel

  • Enable Color Knockout

  • Select the color you want to remove (using the color picker or eyedropper)

  • Adjust the Tolerance slider to control how much of that color is removed

This is especially useful for:

  • Reducing ink usage

  • Preventing muddy or overly heavy prints

  • Improving breathability and softness of the final transfer

  • Creating designs that blend naturally with the garment color

For example, if your design has black areas and you’re printing on a black shirt, you can knock out the black so those areas don’t print at all.

You can also combine this with the Background Color preview to simulate how your design will look on different shirt colors before printing.

Halftoning is a technique that uses patterns (dots, lines, or textures) to simulate gradients and shading instead of printing solid ink.

To apply it:

  • Open the DTF Properties panel

  • Enable Halftone

  • Choose the color you want to halftone (typically lighter or secondary colors)

  • Select a pattern type (dots, lines, Perlin noise, or Simplex noise)

  • Adjust settings like:

    • Pattern size

    • Tolerance (how much of the color is affected)

    • Softness

    • Angle

Halftoning is useful because it:

  • Reduces ink coverage (saving cost and improving feel)

  • Creates smoother gradients and transitions

  • Improves flexibility and breathability of the print

  • Produces a more professional, screen-print-style finish

Best practice:

  • Keep bold, important colors solid (like black outlines or main elements)

  • Apply halftoning to lighter tones, shading, or background areas

This technique is especially helpful for detailed artwork or designs with gradients.

OneKlik DTF provides several tools to help you preview and refine your design before exporting:

  1. Product Mockups

Click the Preview (Mockup) icon to see your design applied to real products like shirts or mugs.

  • Browse and select a template

  • Adjust placement and size directly on the mockup

  • Change product colors to see different variations

  • Export a high-quality product image for sharing or selling

  1. Background Color Preview

Use the background color tool to simulate how your design will look on different fabric colors. This is especially helpful when using Color Knockout or designing for dark garments.

  1. Checker Background

Enable the checkerboard view to clearly see transparent areas in your design, ensuring nothing unwanted prints.

  1. White Layer Preview

Turn on Preview White Layer to see exactly where white ink will be applied.

  • White areas = where ink will print underneath

  • Black areas = no white ink (garment shows through)

This helps you:

  • Avoid too much white ink (which can make prints stiff)

  • Ensure colors stay vibrant on dark garments

  • Catch unwanted edges or gaps before printing

By using these tools together, you can confidently finalize your design and avoid surprises in the final print.

For best results, use 300 DPI at your final print size. Starting with a properly sized template (like a standard t-shirt layout) is the easiest way to ensure your design prints sharp and clear.

Click Export, choose your file type, and confirm your settings. Make sure:

  • Your dimensions are correct

  • DPI is set to 300

  • Transparent background is enabled (if needed)

Then download your file—it’s ready for printing!

When generating an image with AI, you will choose one of these resolutions.

These terms refer to the size and level of detail in an image. Higher resolutions contain more pixels, resulting in sharper images and more detail.

  • 1K (about 1024 × 1024 pixels) – Suitable for previews, web use, and social media.
  • 2K (about 2048 × 2048 pixels) – Provides higher quality for presentations, marketing materials, and most print needs.
  • 4K (about 4096 × 4096 pixels) – Offers maximum detail and is best for large prints, professional artwork, and high-resolution graphics.

Higher resolutions produce larger files and may take longer to generate, so the best choice depends on how the image will be used.
