Making Shapes #
To add a shape to your project, click the Shapes icon in the Tools menu bar. You can then click on one of the Shape options.

Click and drag in the design space to create your shape and adjust the size.

You can modify it further by dragging the sliders at the top or bottom to stretch the shape vertically, or dragging the sliders on the left or right to stretch the shape horizontally.
To resize the shape, click and drag one of the corners of the shape. This will change the size while preserving the current aspect ratio.
Click the Delete Selection icon to delete the shape.
Using a Shape as a Mask #
To use the shape as a mask, make sure the shape layer is above the image you would like to mask (Additional Tools > Move to Front, or adjust from the Layers tab in the left menu).

Drag your shape over the image you would like to mask and click the Toggle Mask icon.

Shape Properties #
The Selection Properties in the right panel can be used to adjust the Scale, Dimensions, Position, and rotation of the item in the project.

Click the Select Color box to change the color of the shape, or use the eyedropper button to select a color from anywhere on your browser.

Add a stroke (outline) to your shape by increasing the number under Stroke. Either type in the stroke thickness you want, or click and drag the A icon to the left or the right to increase or decrease the stroke thickness.
